According to Minnesotas Department of Natural Resources, Lake of the Woods is the most productive lake in the state. There are more than 1700 fish houses along the south shore. In the approximately 100 square miles that we fish, there are fewer than 50 houses. Less fishing pressure means more fish, giving the Northwest Angle a reputation of being the best of the best.

Jakes is located on an international Boundary Lake - At Jakes you can fish till April 1st! Unlike the inland lakes located in Minnesota, our season extends past the February 16th season!

Jakes provides superior service. You are transported to your ready-and-waiting, heated fish house in a Bombardier from Jerrys Restaurant. We dont just leave you there for the day. Every couple of hours, the Bomber drivers, Paul or Big Mike, will stop by, re-supply bait if needed, visit a while, and move you to a more productive house if possible. In all our years of ice fishing, weve never had a party get skunked!

We ensure a safe vacation for you. Our Bombardiers comply with all safety requirements and are equipped with flotation devices. We have cancelled reservations when the ice has become less than favorable.

Jakes personally transports and caters to a maximum 34 of our own guests.
